  • What is an Ultrafast CT Scan of the Coronary Arteries?

Ultrafast CT Scan is a new, quick, and non-invasive way to evaluate for the development of blockage in the coronary arteries. It is extremely valuable for detecting early coronary atherosclerosis. Discovering this at an early stage can help limit complications of coronary artery disease. Adjustments in a person's diet, life-style and medications can be guided by the results of an Ultrafast CT Scan. Results of the Ultrafast CT Scan can also be helpful in suggesting the need for further cardiac testing before the person is aware that coronary artery disease (CAD) is present.
